The Bruay-la-Buissière Music Festival (Pas-de-Calais) was to welcome Amir and Amel Bent. The two singers canceled their visit despite their commitments. The city is run by the National Rally.

The music festival is full of false notes. Bruay-la-Buissière, a town of 21,000 inhabitants near Béthune, in Pas-de-Calais, has been organizing a major popular concert for several years. The Collectif Métissé, Jean-Baptiste Guégan, Lio, Magic System and Kendji Girac have already come to sing.
The RN municipality had invited Amir this year. The Franco-Israeli singer revealed by “The Voice”, representing France at Eurovision and performing hits “J’ai cherch©”, “On dire” or “La Fête” finally canceled his appearance at the beginning of June for “a diary incompatibility”.
The city quickly found a replacement by inviting Amel Bent, coach in “The Voice” and revealed by the hit “My Philosophy”. She was to sing this Friday evening. New drama Wednesday June 17: Amel Bent cancels. The reason given: “the last minute unavailability of part of the artistic and technical team”.

A city run by the RN since 2020
Bruay-la-Buissière has been led by an RN mayor, Ludovic Pajot, since July 2020. However, as recalled The Voice of the NorthAmel Bent had already come to sing in the city in 2023. If Amel Bent cannot come and sing this Friday evening, she will nevertheless perform in a free concert on Saturday in Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne) and Sunday in Thiais (Val-de-Marne).
A last minute replacement program
In Bruay-la-Buissière, there is no question of canceling the Music Festival. A replacement program has been found since Wednesday. The Music Festival concert on Sunday will welcome Billy Crawford, Sweet Julie (Star Academy 2024), the Poetic Lovers and The Robots (Daft Punk tribute). There will be fireworks at the end of the event.
The city would have had to spend 95,000 euros to bring Amir and 50,000 euros for the Amel Bent concert, according to municipal decrees consulted by Libération.
