reopens its doors on Thursday June 18, for lunch service, and Christophe Hugon, the manager of the tavern, will then attack his 17th season, solo at the helm again this year. Since June 1, sometimes up to 25 people have been working to ensure that the site takes shape again on its usual location, on the left bank of the Gardon, below Avenue Carnot, near the Pont-Neuf.“We will be on time; we have no choice. It’s still quite hot during the last few days” smiled the manager, this weekend.“All the equipment works…”  This being said, he looks around at the ephemeral establishment which generally retains the appearance it had last year. The restaurant part has not changed and the 120 m2 projection, which extends almost to the middle of the river, has returned.“It’s very nice when it’s hot. There’s air” he notes.“Ça plaît bien.”  In fact, the little novelty is located near the bar. At the end,“we created a very cozy space, with sofas” . Also, the most observant will notice that the elephant which hung above the entrance has given way to two gigantic deckchairs bearing the image of Alès Plage. Without forgetting the presence, on the terrace, of a huge heart in which to sit.“It’s the new Instagrammable thing” précise Christophe Hugon.
