The 12th Redessan open-air film festival will take place from Thursday July 30 to Sunday August 2, 2026, in the Cour des Écoles, located 2 avenue du 19-Mars 1962.

Organized by the “Jean-Paul Boyer, Culture & Cinema” association, with the support of the CNC and the Cinémathèque française, the event will offer four evenings of projections in reels of 35 mm film, outdoors, on a giant 72 cm screen. m². Each evening, the site opens at 7 p.m. with a tavern and catering, followed by a live music concert at 8 p.m. The screenings will begin at 9:30 p.m. Parking will be free.

The programming, chosen by the association’s 452 members, will begin on Thursday July 30 with the emblematic film The idiots’ dinnercomedy by Francis Veber released in 1998, with Jacques Villeret, Thierry Lhermitte, Francis Huster and Daniel Prévost. The screening will take place in the presence of Alexandre Villeret, son of Jacques Villeret.

On Friday July 31, the public will be able to see The color purplehistorical drama by Steven Spielberg released in 1985, presented in the original version with subtitles. The film notably brings together Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover and Oprah Winfrey.

On Saturday August 1st, place at The ungrateful agedramatic comedy by Gilles Grangier released in 1964, with Fernandel, Jean Gabin and Marie Dubois. Mathias Moncorgé, son of Jean Gabin, will be present on this occasion.

The festival will close on Sunday August 2 with The Vampire Ballcomedy by Roman Polanski released in 1967, also offered in the original version with subtitles.

Each film will be preceded by news and advertisements from the period. A small cinema bookstore will also be offered in connection with the Librairie Teissier, in Nîmes. Entrance is set at 6 euros, 3 euros for children under 12 years old. Access is free for members of the association. A festival pass is offered at 15 euros.
