The British athlete was there to discover his star added to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame in the “Sports and Entertainment” category. “Beckham’s role in promoting soccer in the United States and his lasting influence on sports, entertainment and global culture make this honor particularly meaningful,” the Walk of Fame website reads.
For the occasion, David Beckham was surrounded by many close friends, starting with his family. The former footballer was photographed kissing his wife, Victoria Beckham, or posing alongside their children: Harper, Cruz and Romeo. The latter two were also accompanied by their girlfriends: Jackie Apostel and Kim Turnbull. Big Hollywood figures were also present that day. Tom Cruise was seen joking with David Beckham during the ceremony. The star of Mission Impossible also said a few words in honor of his friend. Eva Longoria was also present, showing herself to be complicit with Victoria Beckham.

A noted absence
An important person for the Beckham family was conspicuous by his absence this Friday, June 12. Indeed, Brooklyn Beckham was not among the assembly who came to support the patriarch of the clan. For more than a year, the eldest of the siblings has distanced himself from his parents. But while he lives in Los Angeles with his wife, the presence of his family not far from home could have led to a reunion. According toPage SixHarper Beckham, the youngest of the siblings, was seen going to her big brother’s home just after the Walk of Fame ceremony. The American tabloid reported that it was a surprise visit but that the host was not at home at the time. For his part, David Beckham was questioned by a journalist about his relationship with his eldest son. The athlete preferred to cut the interview short, reports theDaily Mail Â: “To be honest, I’m sorry to interrupt you, but this is a private matter. It’s the only thing I don’t want to talk about.” “Every day there is a mountain to climb. I have a busy life. I have four adult children, my businesses, the club in Miami, but I always want to go further,” he added, preferring to move away from this delicate subject for the Beckham clan but which has fascinated the crowds for several months.
