30 years ago, Lara Fabian left France to live in Quebec. And if she mainly lived in the upscale city of Westmount, that was not always the case. As reported

And the least we can say is that the peace brought by this kind of isolated house is just what Lara Fabian needs to disconnect. In an interview with Montréal in Santé in 2017, she explained that with the crazy life she led, she needed some downtime with those close to her. “When your life is a plane mixed with suitcases, It is very important, when you come home, to have simplicity and an ordinary life.

Quebec, a place where Lara Fabian feels at home

In this interview, Lara Fabian also praised Quebec which welcomed her with open arms and with which she felt a connexion

A few years later, in 2022, she once again confided her adoration of the Canadian region to Châtelaine : “I very quickly felt at home. Quebec is my peace. I breathe here. There is light. Look at what’s around us!†And when asked if she planned to leave in the future years, her answer was clear. “I don’t want to choose. In recent years, living in Quebec was a logical step. And it will be for some time, until another project calls me elsewhere†, concluded the star.
