At the initiative of the AC2R, Valence-d’Agen will take a day ahead of the Music Festival.

Even if the Music Festival is officially celebrated on June 21, which this year falls on a Sunday, it is from the day before, Saturday June 20, that Valence-d’Agen will join in the dance. An initiative led by the AC2R (Association of Artisans and Traders of Deux Rives), which intends to offer residents and visitors a day dedicated to sharing and conviviality.

An open-air stage

Place Nationale will thus be transformed into a real open-air stage, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., or even longer if the atmosphere is right. The festivities will open in the afternoon with a vinyl fair. Collectors, music enthusiasts and simply curious people will be able to discover, exchange or acquire records, real treasures for lovers of beautiful black cakes.

From 6 p.m., it’s time for live music! The stage will be open to singers, musicians and local groups, whether amateurs or experienced. Everyone will be able to share their passion with the public in a warm and festive atmosphere. A moment which also promises a few moments of nostalgia for generations who grew up to the rhythm of the great classics of French and international song.

Families will not be forgotten, with activities for children, inflatable structures, sweets, pancakes and cotton candy. Then, from 9 p.m., it’s time for the DJ and the unmissable 80s. The biggest hits of the 80s will resound across the square during a dance evening that promises to be colorful.

Refreshment bar and catering will be offered on site, with the possibility of reserving a meal.

Free entry

Entrance will be completely free thanks to the support of AC2R and partner merchants. A great opportunity to get together with friends or family to celebrate music in a festive and popular atmosphere.

Among the first artists registered are several young local talents already noticed on various stages in the region. Others will perhaps discover for the first time the emotion of a concert in front of an audience. But they all share the same desire: to offer a moment of pleasure and conviviality. After all, many of today’s stars began their artistic journey on the street or on small, improvised stages.

Have already announced their participation: Manon Alucci, Lola Simonet, Marion Lemercier, Nicole Lacy, Geoffrey Quarin (Geo’S), Sandrine Kergourlay and her group “Tout pour la musique”, as well as Mathéo Poublanc, from the group Jawas. This promising local poster should make this edition an unmissable event in the Valencian summer.
