The opening concert at the Alambic des Arts, on August 13, will set the tone for this event with Jean-François Zygel. The pianist and composer will set the “Fables of La Fontaine” to music.
Another usual venue, the Château de Lacquy, of the Boisseson family, will host a musical afternoon on August 22. In the first part, Mozart will be performed by Théo Fouchenneret on piano, Elie Hackel on violin, Adèle Ginestet on viola and Maïa Xifaras on cello. In the second part, Théo Fouchenneret, Iris Scialom (violin) and François Salque (cello) will put all their talent at the service of Dvořák and Tchaïkovski.
This year again, new places will be discovered and, of course, new works will be performed by recognized musicians, accustomed to the greatest concert halls.
Final concert le 23 août
As for the new venues, the Château de Fondat in Saint-Justin will welcome on August 19 Pierre Génisson (clarinet) and the soloists from the Ravel Academy: Iris Scialom and Elie Hackel (violins), Adèle Ginestet (viola) and Maïa Xifaras (cello). They will give a concert for clarinet and strings on works by Weber and Brahms.
Thursday, August 20, it will be the turn of the Chartreuse Lugardon, in Hontanx, to host the festival for a Bach violin concerto, performed by Iris Scialom, Luka Ispir and Elie Hackel on violins, Adèle Ginestet on viola and Maïa Xifaras on cello. For the final concert, Sunday August 23, in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church in Arthez-d’Armagnac, an a cappella concert will be given by the Dulci Jubilo ensemble, composed of eight singers directed by Christopher Gibert.
