3iSthe International Institute of Image and Sound, reaches a new milestone in its global reach. At the start of the school year in September 2026, the school is opening two entirely English-speaking courses dedicated to animated cinema and video games – and the ambitions displayed go well beyond French borders.
Two new courses of excellence in animation and video games
From September 2026, the Paris West campus (Élancourt) will host two new courses: the Bachelor & Master in Animation and the Bachelor & Master in Video Game. These programs span 5 years and 300 ECTSaiming for the RNCP Level 7 certification level, the highest level of national recognition.
Thus, the courses are designed to immerse students in production pipelines strictly identical to those of the world’s major studios. The language of teaching is 100% English, which opens the door to both French candidates and international profiles.
The Bachelor & Master in Animation covers 2D and 3D animation, character design and creating immersive worlds. For his part, the Bachelor & Master in Video Game encompasses the entire creative and technological chain of gaming: game design, programming and technical art.
International recognition already acquired in video games
The school does not arrive on this ground without references. In 2025, the Institute rose to the 4th place in the world in the “Console Games” category of The Rookies ranking, a reference in the digital creative training sector.
Consequently, these new courses are based on a solid foundation. Expertise in video games is already recognized on a global scale, which reinforces the legitimacy of the offer for candidates from all over the world.

A campus designed for creative talents from around the world
To support this ambition, the school relies on infrastructures of approximately 17,000 m² at the gates of Paris. These spaces include recording studios, film sets and computer rooms dedicated to animation and video games.
In addition, the campus has an exclusive student residence of 200 studios. This space promotes exchanges between students from the four corners of the globe and reinforces the multicultural dynamic of the establishment.
Thus, the community now gathered on campus represents more than 60 nationalities. Tailor-made integration programs such as the French & Culture Preparatory Program or the International Summer School complete this welcome.

Thanks to a network of 2,000 business partners and the intervention of 1,000 active professionalsstudents build an international portfolio from their first years. The targeted opportunities are concrete: Art Director, VFX Artist, Gameplay Programmer, Game Producer or even Animation Director.
In addition, the school is the only one among cinema, audiovisual and sound establishments in France to offer both a state diploma approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (DESTIS) and titles registered in the National Directory of Professional Certification (France Compétences).
An English-speaking offer that is part of a broader strategy
In parallel with these new courses, the school deploys the same requirement through other training courses already provided entirely in English: the BA Film & TV (RNCP Level 6) and the Master in Filmmaking prepare for careers in the film industry.
Sound professions are also part of this opening. A BA in Sound Engineering (RNCP Niveau 6) is offered on the Paris and Bordeaux campuses, as well as a Master in Recording & Music Production à Paris.
In total, the school now has five campuses in France – Paris West, Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes and Avignon – where training takes place every year près de 3 000 étudiants.
