The Emotions cinema chronicle

• The Drama

Emma and Charlie form a perfect couple, until one evening when truths about their past resurface and put their relationship to the test. The Drama, directed by Kristoffer Bogli with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. Even if the initial idea is interesting, ultimately the really successful aspect is the acting. The film lacks suspense and depth. After a long wait for this film, I am disappointed.

The Drama is indefinable. In any case, this film is surprising in the good sense of the word: it provides a whole range of different emotions. I still came away perplexed because it is impossible not to put yourself in the place of the characters. Indeed, the film raises a question that we can all ask ourselves: to what extent can a person’s past create doubt in our feelings?

• Michael

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is reborn thanks to his nephew Jaafar Jackson in the film Michael currently in theaters. The actor’s performance is remarkable for its versatility: he dances, sings and expresses himself like his uncle, we really believe we are there, we are living the film. The film is based on the complex relationship he had with his father.
Garance Degremont – 18 years old

The film Michael about Michael Jackson is visually successful and driven by the impressive performance of Jaafar Jackson, very credible in the role. But the film remains on the surface: it mainly shows the good moments and avoids the darker aspects. It’s a shame, because we would have liked a more complete story, without focusing almost solely on the father. Despite this, it still makes you want to see what happens next.
Djibril Saifi – 16 years old

When someone says icon, who do you think of? Personally, I think of Michael Jackson. This unmissable star who makes us all vibrate. This film is his biopic recounting his beginnings alongside his brothers and as a solo artist.
Combining the acting of Jaafar Jackson, who plays the artist, the nostalgia of old songs and the moving story of Michael Jackson, such a show cannot be missed and can be experienced in the cinema.
Emmy Henriot Le Scour – 15 years old

The film about Michael Jackson traces his difficult childhood with a very strict father and his rise to success. I loved seeing his talent and his debut with the Jackson five. The story is clear and interesting. However, the ending is disappointing because we do not see his whole life or his death. Despite this, it is a pleasant film to watch with the family. He shows his efforts to succeed on his own and become a world star.

• The devil wears Prada 2

Like any film, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has positive and negative points. I thought it would be rubbish, doing better than the first seemed difficult. Anne Hathaway’s acting is sometimes too exaggerated and the story is a little confusing. There is less fashion and the French version is not always good. Luckily, Meryl Streep is still iconic. New York, the looks and references to the first film are still present and nice.
