In the May 25 episode of Married at First Sight, Perrine and Alexandre will experience a totally unexpected turning point. After several weeks marked by tensions, misunderstandings and a violent argument around the famous surprise lunch with Alexander’s relatives, their story seemed more fragile than ever. However, facing the experts, the couple will surprise everyone with a decision that is as strong as it is moving.
“I’m in love with you” : Alexandre upsets Perrine during the assessment
An immediate connection
Since their marriage in Gibraltar, Perrine and Alexandre have enjoyed a relationship that is as passionate as it is unstable. Between their immediate attraction and their opposing personalities, the two candidates constantly alternate between intense rapprochement and moments of panic.
Des premières difficultés à surmonter
“We had this connection like two magnets”confides Alexandre while reviewing the images of their wedding.
But the experts quickly return to the couple’s difficulties. Perrine criticizes Alexandre in particular for moving too quickly emotionally. “I was really afraid that revealing myself too quickly would scare me away.”she admits.
For his part, Alexandre admits to having constantly tried to adapt to Perrine to the point of forgetting himself. “I always wanted to please others”he explains with emotion.
Perrine and Alexandre (MAPR): still married or divorced?
After analyzing their respective wounds, Estelle Dossin and Marie Tapernoux then ask the couple to make a decision: stay married or divorce.
That’s when Alexandre springs a surprise: “Yes, I am in love with you. I am very in love with you »he declares to Perrine, totally upset.
Perrine’s unexpected letter changes everything
But then the most surprising thing comes. While Alexandre has just announced that he wants to stay married, Perrine in turn asks to speak, before taking out a letter that she wrote for him.
“Alex, I am in tears when I write these few lines to youâ€she begins. Very moved, the young woman reflects on her clumsiness, her fears and her constant need for control. “I’m very lucky that life decided to put you in my pathâ€she continues.
Then Perrine makes a totally unexpected proposal to her husband. “I am taking advantage of this moment to symbolically ask you if you agree to accompany me in a few weeks to Saint-Martinâ€she announces.
A statement that takes Alexandre by surprise. “Perrine’s letter, I never expected itâ€he then admits. Finally, Perrine also confirms her desire to continue the adventure: “Je souhaite rester mariée à Alexandre”.
But a new crisis already erupts after the filming
Despite this hopeful conclusion, everything will not go as planned.
A few weeks later, viewers discover that Perrine and Alexandre have already gone through a new crisis after a complicated weekend in Toulouse. “There were behaviors or reactions on his part that bothered me.”explains Perrine.
The reproaches then follow quickly between them. “It’s as if we don’t have the same glasses”summarizes Alexandre. To the point that Perrine finally asks her husband to take a step back.
But the most worrying concerns their famous trip to Saint-Martin, supposed to relaunch their story. Alexandre now admits that he is no longer sure he wants to leave. “It scares me, in the sense of going there and if it doesn’t work there, I’ll find myself all alone.”he confides.
