The daughter of the union between the famous filmmaker and Helen Schermerhorn Morris has just obtained a new role. On Instagram, she announced that she was part of the cast of season 2 of the Prime Video series, Mr. & Mrs. Smithby resharing a publication from the media specializing in films and series, Deadline. But quickly, the 26-year-old actress had to face a wave of hatred. Several Internet users have targeted her, criticizing the fact that she is a “nepo baby” but also her appearance.
Faced with this, Martin Scorsese’s youngest daughter decided to respond through a video published on TikTok. “These are some of the worst comments I’ve ever seen about me,” she said, before explaining that she was used to being criticized for being a nepo baby, but this time the hatred had reached a new level. “I understand. I know that doors are opening for me,” she added. “But hey, I always try to do my job, I continue to give my all, to be passionate, to create and to do my work.”

“I’m not the most beautiful girl in the world”
In addition to comments about her career and her connection to Martin Scorsese, some Internet users went way too far, criticizing the actress’ appearance. “I think if you’re going to see people’s videos just looking for negativity, then you’re a really, really sad person,” she said. In her video, Francesca explained that several people had called her “fat”, “ugly”, comparing her to a “fridge” or nicknamed her “Miss Piggy”. “I understand – I’m not the most beautiful girl in the world. I’m not the thinnest girl in the world. I’m chubby, I know that. But honestly, what does it matter?,” she replied on TikTok.
This is not the first time that Francesca Scorsese has been the target of this type of comment. The young woman confided that she had decided to delete X some time ago because of the negative atmosphere that was too present on the platform. Under her video, several people gave her a little support like actress Ashley Benson who wrote: “The detractors will always criticize my darling. You are a real gem.” The young woman then thanked all these people in a comment. “There are so many lovely comments here that I can’t respond to every single one of you, but I am so touched by your love and support, and I just want to say that I love you all and am grateful to you. Thank you,” she wrote.
