Cotentin: now unmissable, this acoustic music festival will liven up an entire village

L’association BenSongs make an appointment for a new edition why party that has become unmissable. The concept remains the same, there will be no amp, no electricity, and nothing but raw sound and shared talent. Note in your diaries!

It has become an event that regulars wouldn’t miss for anything in the world. Friday June 5, 2026the town of Benoistville (Manche) will close its streets to traffic to make way for the musiquethe real one, the one that is played without an amp, without electricity, with the strength of the strings, the voices and the breath.

The principle of this acoustic music festivalsupported for several years by the BenSongs association chaired by Loïc Capelle, offers a scène ouverte scattered throughout the town. We walk, we stroll, we stop to listen to a group of friends, a family of musicians, a solo player or a choir.

All are volunteers, come to share their passion the time of a superbly convivial evening. A real fête de villagewarm and relaxed.

Une machine à 80 bénévoles

But for the magic to work, you need a hell of a team behind the scenes. No less than 80 volunteers will be mobilized over three days, from Thursday evening for installation, Friday for D-day, and Saturday for cleaning.

The association gathered its troops last week to distribute the positions. Loïc Capelle detailed the progress of the operations, from the preparation to the party itself. If the missions are almost all assigned, there is still room for those who would like to give a few hours of their time.

The team also includes new volunteers, newcomers to the town and residents who want to get involved. It’s an ideal opportunity to form great pairs and get to know each other.

Notice to musicians

The musicians who will come to play that evening will need to regain their strength. The association is calling on residents to prepare good meals for them, which can be brought to the room on Friday morning or at noon. Don’t forget to come back and collect the empty containers on Saturday morning. A gesture that does tons of good for the atmosphere.
