The villages of Bruley and Lucey are getting ready to vibrate to the rhythm of classical music for the 3rd edition of the Musique & Territoire festival, organized on June 6 and 7. A meeting now well established in the cultural landscape of Toulois, supported jointly by the Union of Lucey Associations (UAL) and the Association for the Safeguarding of the Historical and Artistic Heritage of Bruley (ASPHAB).
Special feature of this new edition: the festival leaves autumn to settle in spring, with always the same ambition: to bring music and local heritage into dialogue in the heart of two villages of character. Concerts, choral singing, organ, oboe and discovery of heritage will punctuate this weekend placed under the sign of emotion and conviviality.
School children at the heart of this 3rd edition
At the center of this musical adventure, Vincent Tricarri, professor at the Grand Nancy regional conservatory, once again puts his expertise at the service of artists… but also of younger people.
Students from the Lucey and Bruley school groups will actively participate in the festival by performing several songs in the Bruley church. “The idea is to transmit music to children while fully involving them in local cultural life,†explain Alain Chrétien and Jean-Luc Huard, the organizers.
The kick-off will be given on Saturday June 6 at the Lucey church with an organ and two oboe concert bringing together Jean-Philippe Mathieu, Vincent Tricarri and the organist Dominique Breda. In the evening, it’s time for choral singing with the Lunéville Women’s Choir around a program mixing sacred and secular music. Nicolas Clairambault’s “Miserere” will open this performance directed by Vincent Tricarri, accompanied on the cello by Stéphanie Méréglier.
On Sunday June 7, the Bruley church will host the school concert from the Lucey and Bruley school groups at 11 a.m., under the direction of Vincent Tricarri. An anticipated moment which illustrates the festival’s desire to create bridges between cultural transmission and territory.
The afternoon will continue with a guided tour of the Bruley heritage before a final concert given by the Swing Choir of Laxou, directed by Karine Marchal, around a varied repertoire mixing sacred and secular works.
All concerts are offered free entry with participation in the hat. The festival benefits from the support of the community of communes Terres Touloises as well as the communes of Bruley and Lucey.
