The Gard Rhone conservatory brought together its orchestras for a spring concert in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Sixty musicians united their instruments around the famous music from the film The Godfather, saluting months of collective work.
Wednesday May 13, for the Spring of Orchestras, the Gard Rhone conservatory brought together its three orchestras on the Pyramide stage in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Brigitte Vandemeulebroucke, new vice-president of the conurbation responsible for Children and Youth, who therefore has the conservatory in her remit, was present for the representation. With a few comforting words, the elected official encouraged the 60 musicians who came mainly from the branches of Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Pont-Saint-Esprit.
Next meeting on June 20 in Vénéjan
Under the batons of Serge Poleggi, Christophe Puechlong and Evelyne Robbe, the groups shared the stage showing all the work carried out since the start of the year. In the finale, the groups came together to form the Orchester du Gard Rhodanien to perform the film’s soundtrack The Godfather composed by Nino Rota. The next meeting for the Gard Rhodanien orchestra will be June 20 for the conservatory festival as a preview of the music festival in front of the Vénéjan mill.
