Independent cinema and local creation combine in the career of Marie Caizergues. At the age of 24, the young Gardoise founded Showcaizz Productions to energize the South and has already produced her first comedy on stage.
“I want no day of my life to be the same”. Hyperactive, sunny and determined, the young Gardoise traces her path without waiting for the doors to be opened to her. Born in Nîmes and raised in Saint-Christol-lez-Alès, Marie Caizergues never sat still. Elected mayor of the municipal youth council at age 11, now involved in local politics, she discovered a taste for action very early.
At 19, she took her first steps on screen in Candice Renoir or Tomorrow belongs to us. Trained in cinema in Montpellier, passing through Paris, she finally returned to the South with a clear idea: to create.
“No longer wait for someone to call me”
After a slow period, she decided to take control again: “I created Showcaizz Productions because I no longer wanted to wait to be called for a role.” His company, based in Nîmes, is organized around four areas: audiovisual, theater, events and image management. A complete structure, supported by a team of four people and an assumed ambition: “revitalize cinema in the South”.
A first scene that is already promising
With comedy Psy, sex and fun by Sacha Judaszko, she signs her first production… while going on stage. Alongside Jason Pocklington and Baptiste Tinel, she plays a heroine caught in a crazy love trio. “I’ve been thinking about this piece for a year, I’m proud of it”she confides. A rhythmic comedy where misunderstandings and seduction intertwine, with a simple promise: to laugh and think about love. And this is what makes the Gardoise vibrate, “cinema is a profession which allows us to show things, to push spectators to question themselves”. The premiere representation of Psy, sex and funIt was also held this Saturday, May 2 in Foissac. “More than 200 people came, some even stayed standing! It went really well, I’m so happy”she reacted the next day.

An ambition already focused on tomorrow
Far from stopping there, the young producer thinks big. From the fall, she is planning several new plays and short films. “I like to work, to create, to feel. This job allows me to live a thousand lives”she explains. At 24 years old, Marie Caizergues, who is always learning, accepts her mistakes, but above all her energy: that of never giving up.
