As part of the 19th edition of the Spring of Europe organized by the City of Dijon, the France Balkans Jazz Network (RJFB) offers a range of events dedicated to music, reflection and creation, all centered on the theme jazz. These events will take place on Thursday, May 14, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the former council room on the first floor of City Hall and Friday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Auditorium, in the OIV room. The network is a cultural cooperation project bringing together representatives from Dijon and Chambéry, the Balkan countries (Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro), as well as professionals from the music industry of these territories.
Feminization in the jazz world addressed
During these two days, concerts, conferences, round tables, artist residencies and workshops, held by professionals in the sector, will address current themes such as feminization in the jazz world or the role of this musical genre in international cooperation. events, two evenings are offered.
Thursday May 14 at 8 p.m., the Darcy cinema in Dijon will host the screening of the film entitled Underground (1995) directed by Émir Kusturica for a Jazz and Cinema evening. Finally, to close these two days, the France Balkans Jazz-Band group will give a concert on Friday May 15 from 9 p.m. in the Bar courtyard of the Palace of the Dukes and States of Burgundy.
