Le média spécialisé Variety published the complaint filed in California. According to the complaint, the singer had already asked the group last year to remove the image. But Samsung would have reacted in a “distant and indifferent” manner to this formal notice and would have continued to use the photo. In the court document, Dua Lipa cites in particular comments from customers published on the X platform, claiming that the presence of the singer on the box had encouraged them to buy the television.
The Grammy Award winner, known for tracks like Houdini or Dance The Nightbelieves that the group exploited its brand image. In addition to the $15 million requested, the singer demands an immediate stop to all use of the photo. (jzs/ats)
