Disney, Magna Studios et Sony Music Vision today announce the release of a documentary dedicated to the legendary British group Oasis. Supported by Disney+, the film will be screened for a limited time in selected IMAX® theaters and cinemas around the world from September 11before being available exclusively on Disney+ internationally later this year.
This documentary, still untitled, is imagined by Steven Knight (nominated for BAFTAs and Oscars for “Peaky Blinders†and “A Thousand Blows†) and directed by Dylan Southern et Will Lovelace (“SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITSâ€, “MEET ME IN THE BATHROOMâ€).
The film follows the Oasis reunion tour, « Live ’25 » one of the most anticipated returns on the rock scene in recent years. The film offers an immersion into the heart of this major musical event of the year 2025, capturing both its scale and the emotions of the group and its fans, across the world. It offers unprecedented access behind the scenes, from rehearsals to the stage through to the backstage, and brings together for the first time in over 25 years Noel and Liam Gallagher in joint interviews.
In parallel with this sold-out world tour, the documentary explores the cultural and emotional impact of this unique moment, as well as the enduring place that their music occupies with several generations of fans.
