A Carefully Prepared Film Program

Since the first screening in the autumn of 2025, five others have taken place. Dead Poets Society, Seven, La La Land, Romeo and Juliet, Pulp Fiction, Interstellar have all graced the screens of Ciné Cubic. And soon, Grave of the Fireflies will be added to the list. The films are scheduled for Friday evenings around 6:15 pm – 6:30 pm. And they are chosen because they are considered heritage or cult films.

However, the selection is wide-ranging. How does one make a choice from this vast collection? “I consider several aspects,” explains the young man, “There are requests on social media, which is how I chose to show Interstellar; there are also cult films mentioned on the internet, like La La Land; and then the context can lead to a specific choice.” This is the case for May 7th: “As it is Armistice Day the following day, I was looking for a film on the theme of war with a commemorative aspect,” Soân explains. Clearly, the young man has a lot of ideas. Passionate about music, literature, painting, and drawing, Soân is sure to continue surprising those around him.
