In 2014, the director and actress Charlotte de Turckheim and her husband Zaman Hachemi became the owners of a magnificent property located in the heart of Provence. Quickly, the couple decided to engage in renovation work with the idea of opening guest rooms to the public. In this beautiful Provencal farmhouse of nearly two hectares, named “Notre Dame” by Charlotte de Turckheim, there are 4 bedrooms and 5 lodgings ranging in price from 190 to 600 euros per night, depending on the season. Three of the rooms are named after her daughters Julia, Clara, and Johanna, from her marriage to Jean-Marc Piaton. The fourth is named Jeanne, after her current husband’s daughter from a previous relationship. A lovely way for the actress to pay tribute to them. “I have a wonderful relationship with our four daughters. I am very lucky. They are fantastic, very committed and involved in what is happening. I feel like the four of them are me, but better… I love and admire them,” she explained in 2023 in Télé-Loisirs.

Context: Charlotte de Turckheim and her husband purchased and renovated a property in Provence to open guest rooms to the public. The rooms are named after their daughters and step-daughter, as a tribute to them.

Located in the small village of Eygalières, just a few kilometers from Arles and Avignon, this large property is entirely made of stone, “built using ancient techniques, and hidden among almond trees, truffle pines, and olive trees.” In addition to offering pleasant nights, Charlotte de Turckheim and her husband also offer a variety of activities such as a pool, trampoline, ping-pong table, and petanque. The breakfast is included for each night and consists of a large buffet with “local and organic products from the farm right alongside it. Ham from the Eygalières butcher (without preservatives or colorings), fresh goat cheese from Mumu, fougasse and Provence bread, cereals, seasonal fruits, fresh pressed juice, locally made fruit juice, apricot jams, mother-of-pearl jam, and other seasonal fruits made at home, organic honey from Eygalières, fresh eggs from the chicken coop, etc.”

Charlotte de Turckheim’s daughter Julia Piaton, also a renowned actress, is actually the manager of the family Mas. While Charlotte de Turckheim has a say in the organization, maintenance, and offerings of the Mas, it is her daughter Julia Piaton who manages it. Together with her mother, she has created a true Provencal atmosphere at the property, using colors that evoke the region and furniture and decorations exclusively made by local artisans or from sets of the films they have starred in. For Charlotte de Turckheim, the Mas holds sentimental value as it contains objects that have marked her career.

Fact Check: Charlotte de Turckheim’s daughter Julia Piaton is the manager of their family property, ensuring a Provencal ambiance with locally sourced furniture and decorations.
