The Toulouse music platform “Décroche le son!” is shining a spotlight on twenty young artists with eclectic styles. Five of them will advance to the final on June 4th at the Bikini, with a potential audience of 200,000 spectators.
The music platform “Décroche le Son!”, initiated by the Toulouse municipality, is back for its sixteenth edition. This event offers young talents, aged 16 to 25, the opportunity to take the stage and be heard by professionals.
This year, twenty artists have been selected in various genres, including rock, pop, jazz, rap, and electronic music. They will each perform in five different evenings from May 5th to May 19th, with free entry.
On Tuesday, May 5th, the event will be held at the Bonnefoy cultural center. On Thursday, May 7th, at the Alban-Minville cultural center, and on Monday, May 11th, at the Renan cultural center. The following week, on May 12th at the Théâtre des Mazades center, and on May 19th at the Soupetard cultural center.
Among them, only five will secure their spot in the final, which will take place for the second consecutive year at the Bikini on June 4th at 8:30 pm. A large audience is expected, with about a thousand spectators.
The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to perform at the concert on July 14th at the Prairie des Filtres in Toulouse, in front of over 200,000 people. They will also have opportunities to perform at various cultural centers, festivals, receive radio airplay, musical equipment, video production, production advice, and other rewards.
Last year, the band Sôll won the platform, a musical project led by Anna Perrier and consisting of four female musicians.
