At 55, Denise Richards openly discusses her recent face lift, which she had done in 2025. The former sex symbol from “Wild Things” and former star of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reveals how she eventually decided to undergo surgery. She now embraces a procedure that was long considered taboo in Hollywood.

Denise Richards opens up about her facelift

For years, the actress rejected the idea of a facelift, despite her growing insecurities. Already having undergone breast surgery at 19, she noticed her neck sagging over the years but hesitated to take the plunge. “Being in the spotlight since my 20s, people know what I look like; I can’t hide a facelift,” she explained to Allure.

The turning point came in her Beverly Hills surgeon’s office where she saw before and after photos from Dr. Ben Talei, a facial specialist. He suggested a comprehensive plan: deep facelift, brow lift, upper eyelid surgery, lip lift at the corners, and fat transfer. “She looks calmer, happier, and brighter now,” commented the doctor.

A new confidence at 55

After waking up, Denise Richards found the experience less painful than expected, except for her forehead after the brow lift, causing “the worst headache I’ve ever had.” With her head bandaged and drains removed the next day, she spent a week in a recovery center with red light therapy, hyperbaric chamber, and massages. A few days later, she finally looked at herself in the mirror and recognized herself despite the swelling. By day 10, she was already dining out wearing a hat, and six weeks later, she was back to work.

During her divorce, her ex revealed the surgery, prompting her to speak out about it herself. Looking in the mirror, Denise described the result as “night and day.” “I have no regrets. I am so happy,” she emphasized. According to Dr. Talei, this type of facelift can last around ten years before patients consider another procedure.
