At 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, the kickoff was given. This event is eagerly awaited by the residents of the Caucriauville neighborhood in Le Havre, as well as those from neighboring Aplemont.
It was estimated that nearly 1,000 participants in costumes came to celebrate spring in a musical atmosphere for the carnival.
On their side, there were groups of dancers and musicians, but the stars of the day were the two giant mascots. They were entirely made by the residents of Aplemont, showcasing local expertise and involvement.
“The carnival has grown this year. It has generated a lot of enthusiasm, everyone really got into the spirit,” observes Nicolas Mayo, Director of Fabrique Atrium in Le Havre and organizer of the carnival.
The parade ended around 5:30 p.m. in the Pré Fleuri area. And to reward the efforts of the carnival-goers, a moment of conviviality awaited the crowd with a snack offered and prepared by the grandmothers of the neighborhood.
