The 9th season of Mask Singer will start this Friday, April 24 on TF1. The channel has already revealed some of the costumes for this edition, and one of them is quite surprising. The Clown will appear to the public and detectives without a mask, just wearing makeup.
The 9th season of Mask Singer will kick off on TF1 this Friday, April 24. This new edition will have surprises for viewers, as shown in a post shared on the show’s Instagram account on Monday, April 20. Host Camille Combal announces a major first in the history of Mask Singer. “A character will not wear a mask but will be recognizable,” promises the host.
The celebrity arrives on the show’s stage inside a large wooden box. When opened, a clown appears. Camille Combal confirms that he cannot recognize the personality hidden under the skillful layer of makeup. “Is it a man or a woman?” wonders Chantal Ladesou out loud. Michaël Youn concludes that it is impossible to discern the candidate’s gender. Some viewers in the comments also express doubt about this new character. However, some have noted that it may not sit well with coulrophobes.
TF1 has already revealed another character from the upcoming season. The Gorilla sang “Caruso,” setting the tone for the season. The investigation has already begun to uncover the identity of the animal. Viewers think it could be Artus or Jean Reno, but they also consider Michaël Youn, who is part of the show’s jury.
This year, detectives will have to find out who is hiding under the costumes of the Venetian, Cyborg, Bouquet, Rock, Werewolf, Mummy, or Potato. It remains to be seen if Kev Adams will once again demonstrate his immense insight, as he has since the show’s launch on TF1.
A prestigious cast is promised in the 9th season of Mask Singer. The production has promised that this season will feature “the most prestigious cast” in the show’s history. In addition to international personalities featured every year, it includes winners of the Césars, Victoires de la Musique, Molières, NRJ Music Awards, or MTV Music Awards.
