On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the cinema in Préfailles (Loire-Atlantique) will host an evening dedicated to film dubbing.
The session will begin with a vocal warm-up workshop, consisting of some simple and effective exercises that help participants prepare their voices before getting into action. Following this, there will be a brief introduction to how a “bande rythmo” works, the horizontal strip running at the bottom of the screen with the text that dubbers need to pronounce, including a text with gaps for those who choose the improvisation option.
There will be a choice of 120 film excerpts, cult TV series, or animated films to dub in the interactive catalog of 120 “bandes rythmo” offered. Participants can lend their voices to the actors, embodying the character of their choice like a professional dubber, coached by the professional animators of Produbbing, who will provide advice to improve their performance.
“We launched this activity last July, offering it to companies for team-boosting sessions, weddings, birthdays, in a bar… It’s very friendly and highlights a profession that is starting to disappear with the arrival of artificial intelligence,” explains Yannick Théobald, photographer, audio and video editor, actor, and host of this event with his colleague Eymeric Pichon.
An immersive, fun, and creative workshop to practice alone, in pairs, or in groups. It’s also a way to work on interpretation, synchronization, and expression of emotions.
The event will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 8:30 pm at Cinema L’Atlantique. The admission fee is 10 euros.
