The Var region, especially around the island of Porquerolles, is highly appreciated by celebrities. They can enjoy nature and a more relaxed lifestyle than in the capital. These are some of the reasons why Gerard Jugnot fell in love with the area and often flies to his house on the Giens peninsula.
Gerard Jugnot’s house, a gem facing the sea
According to Purepeople, Gerard Jugnot invested in this second home several decades ago. A local resident revealed that he knew the previous owner until one day he was surprised to find Gerard Jugnot opening the door. The actor explained that he had purchased the house without the resident’s knowledge.
During the interview, some details about the property were shared. It was described as a “beautiful villa” located on the heights of the peninsula, possibly even the highest point. The red house faces the Mediterranean, providing a view from the immense salon once furnished in a Provencal style. The property also features multiple bedrooms overlooking a beautiful garden with palm trees shading a large pool. It is likely that renovations have been carried out since the acquisition.
One thing that remains unchanged is the property’s ultra-private location. Accessing the house is not easy due to steep dirt roads that Jugnot used to navigate with a vehicle, allowing him to reach any spot.
A region beloved by the actor
While Jugnot’s house may seem like a little piece of paradise, he has a genuine fondness for the region and explores it whenever possible. According to Purepeople, the actor enjoys boat outings for snorkeling and also visits the Port-Cros National Park or admires the view from the Estissac fort.
It is worth noting that Gerard Jugnot is the godfather of the Porquerolles Film Festival, a testament to his love for the region and a perfect opportunity to spend more time there.
