How Will Céline Dion Manage Her Shows Despite Her Illness?
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Céline Dion’s neurologist, Dr. Amanda Piquet, shared insights about the singer’s illness. Speaking on France Inter, the neurologist explained that the singer had been preparing a lot for her return to the stage: “She has worked tremendously to combat this disease. She is eager to do her concerts, she is excited,” she revealed.
While she deems the singer “ready”, she ensures that she will be well supported backstage: “There will be a medical team with her, of course.” However, there are still “many details to sort out.” It should be noted that even though she’s feeling better, Céline Dion may still experience “painful cramps in the chest area.” Singing can particularly trigger these cramps: “And when you sing, you have to breathe deeply, work all these muscles between the ribs, especially the diaphragm,” she explained.
