During the municipal council of April 30, several major deliberations were adopted, confirming the budgetary, educational, social and security orientations of the municipality for the coming year.

Vendargues students will continue to benefit from sporting, cultural and educational activities within the metropolitan infrastructure, thanks to the Knowledge Bus, and the agreement concluded with the Metropolis and Transdev. The school budget will be adjusted accordingly.
The police presence is reinforced. The renewal of the state-metropolitan-municipal agreement will allow metropolitan police officers to intervene more in the municipality, in transport and during metropolitan events, with increased cooperation between municipal and metropolitan police.
A largely surplus balance sheet marks the real estate acquisitions and disposals of 2025, once again illustrating the desire of the municipality to acquire land put up for sale in agricultural and natural zones in order to sustainably limit the risks of cabanization.
The ambition remains to continue solidarity actions and policy aimed at seniors with the launch of the analysis of social needs to better prepare the mandate. It is a matter of relying on an inventory of the situation and projecting oneself on the scale of the mandate.
A pillar of local activity and quality of life, associations will benefit from an increase of €16,000, validated by the municipal council.
In terms of the initial 2026 budget, despite a tense national and international context, the continued increase in costs, the disengagement of the State, uncompensated exemptions and inflation, the municipality wants to maintain a “clear” roadmap: “control of operating expenses, stability of the municipal property tax on buildings (+ 0%), continued debt reduction and 4.2 million euros of planned investments”.
