The latest municipal council meeting was held at the town hall on Friday June 5. The designation of delegates to the senatorial elections, which will take place on Sunday September 27, was made by an absolute majority for the incumbents Alain Delage, Jean-Marie Jurado and Jean-Louis Poudevigne, as well as for the substitutes Fabienne Roca, Véronique Roulle and Rémy Navarro.

The other points on the agenda were all subsequently approved unanimously, such as the delegations allocated to Mayor Jean-Louis Poudevigne by the municipal council, or the designation of Jean-Marie Jurado as titular delegate and of Cyril Landeau as as a substitute delegate, to sit on the Local Commission for the Evaluation of Transfers of Charges (Cletc), created between the Agglomeration Community of Nîmes Métropole and its member municipalities.

Another point on the agenda: the commune of Gajan decided, after deliberation, to exercise its rights and appropriate the property without a master located at a place called Les Barquettes (plot A26, capacity 6,612 m²).

The municipal council also chose to approve the partnership agreement between Nîmes Métropole and Gajan, within the framework of the programs “Fridays of the Agglo” and the “Pestacles of the Agglo”, set up by Nîmes to promote annual cultural programming in the municipalities of the territory.

To close the session, Rémy Navarro, Cyril Landeau, Justine Norton, Jean-Pierre Gazaix and Yanick Marion were appointed as delegates for the commission for controlling the electoral lists of the commune.
