Marvejols celebrates Occitan culture with the return of Fest’Oc MARVEJOLS. THE June 12 and 13the royal city will host the fourth edition of Fest’Oc, an event that has become over the years an unmissable event for the promotion and enhancement of Occitan culture in Lozère.
Organized by the Community of Communes of Gévaudan as part of the Total Festum regional festival, the Fest’Oc will offer two days of free activities open to all. Residents, associations, artists and visitors are invited to share a festive and friendly moment around a rich program mixing cinema, music, popular traditions and activities intended for all audiences.
Among the highlights of this 2026 edition are the concerts of the trio La Bande in Koustikrecognized for his communicative energy and his repertoire inspired by traditional music. The public will also be able to discover Fènixa strolling show proposed by the company La Fulguréewhich promises to liven up the streets of Marvejols in a spectacular atmosphere.
The Friday evening will end in accordance with tradition with the henceforth unmissable Midsummer firefollowed by a popular ball open to allthus offering a moment of sharing and conviviality in the heart of the city.
Beyond the festivities, the Fest’Oc pursues an essential objective: to bring to life and transmit the Occitan language and culture to all generations. Through this varied program, the organizers wish to encourage meetings and highlight a cultural heritage that is still alive.
