The Fleurance media library welcomes fans of geek culture, manga, cosplay and video games for the fourth edition of its Geek Week. The event will take place on Saturday June 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Eloi-Castaing room.
The day will begin with the opening of the doors at 10 a.m., followed by the official inauguration at 11 a.m. At the same time, visitors will be able to take part in an interactive Kahoot quiz to test their knowledge of the world of pop culture.
Throughout the day, a geek attic, a creator space as well as a gaming area with consoles, arcade machines and board games will allow participants to come together around their common passion.
Several activities are also on the program. Workshops for creating soft toys inspired by iconic characters like Pikachu, Totoro, Calcifer or even the owl from Harry Potter will take place at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. A Chibi drawing workshop led by Maylis is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Competition enthusiasts will be able to take part in two video game tournaments, at 1 p.m. on Tekken then at 5 p.m. on Windjammers 2. Finally, the traditional cosplay parade, accompanied by a prize giving ceremony, will close the activities from 3:30 p.m.
