The Jardins de Vedène school is transformed into a true living conservatory of Provençal heritage

The students of Les Jardins de Vedène elementary school recently swapped their schoolbags for an exceptional day dedicated to Provençal culture. An immersion rich in encounters and traditions for schoolchildren, driven by collective mobilization.

The event was marked by the exceptional presence of emblematic figures of local culture, who came to share their passion with the children. The students were able to meet the musician Jean-François Gerold, co-founder of the group Le Condor, and the painter Léon Zanella, whose works celebrate the light and landscapes of our region.

Theater and dance

The transmission of traditions was also at the heart of this day. The theater troupe La Chourmo dis Afouga offered scenes in the regional language, while the costume designers from the Li Galapian association introduced young people to the secrets of yesteryear’s fabrics.

The rural and agricultural world was represented by the speakers of the Carreto de Mount-Favet and the dance was not left out, thanks to the presence of Mme Jonas, “Pays de France” ambassador and folk dancer within the Respelido Prouvençalo….
