The 24th edition of Citadelle en Fête will be in full swing all day Saturday, June 13, on avenue du Général-de-Gaulle.
A popular and family event, the Fête de la Citadelle will be on its 24the edition, African cultures in the spotlight. This choice echoes the municipal artistic project “Joya† whose stated ambition is to offer an artistic journey, inspired by African music, to young people from the priority neighborhood.  This project, which is being built over two school years, in conjunction with all of the City’s cultural services and with the support of the City’s Political department, must end in the summer 2027. This spotlight during the Citadel Festival therefore resonates with the work already carried out in this context.
On the program for this 24e Fête de La Citadelle, an artistic highlight will come from Togo, with the Afuma company, invited in partnership with Arts Vivants 52. These street artists will offer an immersion in West African traditions, between acrobatics, dances, songs and percussion. Perched on spectacular 3.50 m stilts, they will introduce the public to a world full of color and energy.
In addition, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the most daring, from 10 years old, will also be able to learn how to stilt during a supervised workshop. Then, at 6:30 p.m., the Tiwani Parade will offer a 30-minute stroll mixing polyphonic songs, djembes, calabashes and sacred mask dances on stilts.

A fireworks display to close the party
Like every year, this event mobilizes many local actors who have concocted different activities which will punctuate this day.
So, from 8 a.m., visitors will be able to take advantage of the garage sale and the solidarity market, before the football tournament kicks off at 10 a.m. The awards ceremony and opening speeches will take place at noon. The afternoon will then be devoted to leisure and entertainment, with inflatable structures, games and different offerings for children and families. Catering will be provided continuously on site.
Finally, at nightfall, the Langrois will be invited to meet at Place du Corbusier. There, fireworks will be
