Created in 2022, the Les Mélodies du Causse festival travels across the intercommunal territory while keeping Lalbenque as an anchor point. This festival, supported by the association La Chambre à concerts, entirely dedicated to chamber music, has just revealed the program for the fifth edition which will take place from August 3 to 7. The festival continues its growth with the programming of seven events spread over five days between public concerts, concerts for nursing home residents, public rehearsal, discovery of rare instruments and even the first part of a concert.

In terms of concerts, three evenings are scheduled: August 4 at 8:30 p.m. at the Belmont-Sainte-Foi castle (Quatuor Varèse), August 5 at 8:30 p.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption church in Beauregard (Duo Tiggarna) and the closing evening which will take place on August 6 at 7 p.m. at the Lalbenque town hall and following at 8:30 p.m. at the amphitheater. During the festival, the public is invited to free meetings and exchanges with the artists on August 4 and 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lalbenque village hall for respectively the public rehearsal of the Varése Quartet and the presentation and discovery of musical instruments. traditional music.

This year, the organization is innovating with the holding of two concerts in senior residences. The first will take place on August 3 at the Limogne nursing home with Rasmus Hansen and Jacques Pérez from the Varèse Quartet. The second will take place on August 7 at the Marpa de Lalbenque where Thomas Ravez and Sylvain Linon will perform duets for cellos

The 2026 edition is thus part of one of the founding quests of this festival: the sharing of music, by allowing seniors to integrate even more into the musical life of the summer.

There is no doubt that all audiences will once again be there, won over by the harmonious, radiant programs of this event. Especially since the international excellence of the ensembles meets the fundamental principles of the Les Mélodies du Causse festival.
