The Les Arts Métisses association is offering, on June 13, a cultural day focused on the discovery and practice of dance at the Simone Veil Social Center in Vadegour. The event will highlight oriental dance, the association’s flagship discipline, while opening the stage to other worlds: classical dance, contemporary dance, etc.
The day will begin with several courses aimed at both children and adults: oriental dance, but also Tribal Fusion, a style mixing oriental, contemporary influences, hip-hop, flamenco and even Indian dances. From 6:30 p.m., the public will be able to attend a show bringing together students from the Nîmes dance school Pas à Pas as well as the ECLA associations from Sorgues and Divines en Mouvement from Pernes-les-Fontaines. On the program: oriental dance and Tribal Fusion, classical and contemporary dance, traditional Chinese dance and several surprises.
“In a context of growing precariousness and reduced cultural offerings in working-class neighborhoods in Nîmois,” indicates Les Arts Métisses, the association has chosen a free price.
