On Saturday June 20 at 9 p.m., the Halle aux Grains de Lavaur will host the end of year show by the Ebenbao association.
For almost twenty years, the Ebenbao association has been working to discover and share the richness of African cultures through dance, music and cultural encounters. Faithful to this approach, it will present its end-of-year show on Saturday June 20 at 9 p.m. at the Halle aux Grains in Lavaur.
The public will be able to discover original choreographed creations as well as several musical and dance improvisations. These services are the fruit of the work carried out throughout the year by the students and their teacher during weekly lessons, internships and various meetings organized by the association.
Beyond the artistic dimension, Ebenbao defends values that are dear to him: sharing, tolerance, openness towards others, sisterhood and kindness. Through the practice of dance and music, each student is invited to experience surpassing oneself and to develop their relationship with the body in a collective dynamic based on joy and exchange. The show thus constitutes the culmination of a true artistic and human process. By going on stage, the participants give meaning to their investment and their personal evolution over the months.
Through its action, the association also affirms its desire to transmit African artistic heritage while contributing to a vision of a more egalitarian world respectful of human beings. Ebenbao also supports the NGO “Dimé Mali”, made up of doctors from Conakry hospitals engaged in the prevention of diseases and infant mortality in Guinea. The association hopes to bring together a large audience around this moment of dance, music and conviviality, carried out by the students and their teacher after a year of artistic work.
