D-4 before the first edition of the Young Talents Springboard imagined by Alexandra Boccadifuoco, president of the Salagou festival on stage. Six artists were pre-selected.
The deadlines are approaching with this first edition of the Springboard for young talents on stage. How does this look?
Very good. The volunteers are delighted, it has created real enthusiasm in the team. Everyone can’t wait for this first edition to be launched. It will allow us to discover new talents and give them a chance on stage in the 2027 edition of the Salagou festival. The public is advised to reserve their seats, the capacity of the Brassens room is relatively small. It will be an opportunity for the public to discover the artists of tomorrow and they will have a say: they will participate in the votes! And, by the way, this springboard now has a name: it’s called Les ruffes Sonores. It is both a tribute to the red earth that surrounds our magnificent lake and it obviously echoes the sonic vibrations of the festival. The springboard will also be an opportunity for the public to discover the team (sixty volunteers) and behind the scenes of the festival, from 10 a.m. in the morning and until the evening. It will be a convivial moment throughout the day.
6 pre-selected artists and groups
Which artists will participate in the springboard?
We received around thirty applications and we selected six, according to the criteria we had set, it was very targeted. We asked for listening links and live video links from these artists and made a pre-selection of six candidates with the members of the jury. We chose “Chastel & an order”, a rock trio who sings in Portuguese with influences of trust…Â; “Tanis”, which offers a “new old style rap” between introspection and punchlines; “and Botanic” and its rock with psyche, post-punk and progressive influences; “Ambre-Amélie” which composes a tasty pop rock mixed with R and B; “Leny Maz” which is in the universe of Kendji Girac and Solem: an introspective folk duo. We wanted there to be a good diversity of proposals.
Who are the members of the jury?
Julie Laville, director of the Théâtre du Sillon, Stéphane Déal, director of Sonmabule, Camille Dudognon, who coaches artists at Sonambule as part of Matura Son, the director of the Clermont music school: Pascal Pace, and myself Alexandra Boccadifuoco (president of the Salagou festival in scene). Midi Libre, partner of the Ruffes Sonores springboard, will offer its favorite.
