Walking, strolling, and discoveries: between heritage, culture and music

Books, walks and a big concert will punctuate a day in front of Salagou this June 7.

Sunday June 7 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. an exceptional day will take place in Liausson to discover this beautiful village on the occasion of the release of Bruno BETZ’s book, A balcony on the lakeand to listen to music in a breathtaking setting with a view of Lake Salagou.

For the third consecutive year, the Mas des Terres Rouges and the Friends of the Organs of Clermont-l’Hérault / Musiques et Passions are joining forces to combine the arts, books, heritage, nature and music.

Departure at 9 a.m. for walking, meet at the Liausson car park: walk towards the hermitage of Mont Liausson passing by the church lookout and the cave. Walk commented and led by Jean Claude Saintenac. At 12:30 p.m., meal taken from the bag. From 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., from the parking lot, stroll through Liausson: an accessible walk, with commentary, led by Claudine Zemmour. The guides are volunteers and all visits are free.

At 4:30 p.m., meeting at the Château de La Marguerite on the terrace overlooking the lake for the official presentation of the book A balcony on the lake (or The mysteries of a village suspended between lake and mountain) by Bruno Betz, and recent publications from Mas des Terres Rouges.

At 5 p.m. in the castle park, time for an exceptional concert. Representation of Harmony and the Vocal Ensemble of Gignac: more than 80 musicians and choristers who will vibrate to the sounds of Mozart, Verdi, Saint-Saëns but also with film music and jazz. Dominique Bougard, famous trumpeter soloist of the Orchester National de Montpellier Occitanie, conductor and arranger, he will direct this very large ensemble. A great concert (presented by Françoise Cardonnet) in an astonishing place not to be missed! Free participation and concert open to all.

The day will end with a cocktail offered at the town hall where, moreover, books can be signed.
