Gathered on Tuesday May 26 around Mayor Xavier Llopis, elected officials from the Bias municipal council examined several issues relating to culture, community life, municipal services and municipal employment.

Culture and access to entertainment for all

The municipal council first renewed its support for the Domaine de Senelles by validating the maintenance of visit prices. Elected officials wanted to maintain a stable pricing policy in order to promote access for as many people as possible to this emblematic site of the municipality. In continuation of this cultural dynamic, a partnership agreement was approved with the Eysses Archeology Museum. This will allow the organization of cultural and educational workshops in the town.

“Culture must remain accessible to all and participate in the awakening of the youngest,” declared Xavier Llopis.

Elected officials also validated the municipality’s membership of the Culture Pass in order to facilitate access for the inhabitants of Bias to the cultural activities offered in Villeneuvois.

Reinforced resources for municipal services

The municipal council then addressed issues related to municipal staff and approved the creation of a part-time position to replace a retirement within the central school kitchen.

This mission will mainly concern the preparation of meals as well as the maintenance of kitchen premises for the next school year.

Another important decision: the recruitment of a full-time seasonal agent for technical services and green spaces during the summer. “Even during the holidays, we must maintain a quality public service,” insisted the mayor.
