On the weekend of May 9 and 10, the Book Festival brought together some 275 book lovers in Souillac during the Bouquinistes Days. It was an opportunity to hear the edifying speech of François David. The sponsor of the 2026 edition of the festival shared his vision on the world of books which, although in difficulty, will not give up! And in fact, during these two days, we were able to meet a good number of readers, including the mayor Frédéric Vergnes, Régis Villepontoux departmental councilor, as well as several municipal elected officials. The godmother of the 2022 edition, the author Sylvie Staub, was also present. The Du Bellay room hosted old books, collections, comics, mangas, children’s books: there was something for all tastes and great finds satisfied the visitors.
Caroline Lasfargues (Le Point d’Oc bookstore/press) and Marie Gana (Jaune Citron bookstore) were happy to offer this unifying event which opens the fourth edition. Numerous literary events will take place until February 2027!
