The Maison du Bois et dutoy de Mazamet is offering a festive and family day on Saturday May 30 to bring the exhibition “At the heart of the islands, wood in the cultures of the South Pacific” to a beautiful close, which will have kept visitors in suspense throughout its duration.
The program for this closing day is designed for all ages and promises a sensory and cultural journey to the heart of Oceanian traditions, from the afternoon until the evening.
From 3 p.m. and until 5:30 p.m., children aged four to twelve will be invited to participate in the “Mission Tiki” game, available in two versions adapted according to age groups, to explore the riches of Pacific civilizations in a fun and interactive way.
At 4:30 p.m., the Mazametian association J’M Lire will take over with a session of readings aloud, a moment of literary sharing which will echo the themes of the exhibition and extend the invitation to travel through words. The high point of the evening will be reached at 7:30 p.m. with the intervention of the Kahiimaitepuna association of Labruguière, which will offer the public a show of Pacific dances bringing together more than twenty dancers in a colorful and emotional scene.
