Street educators from the CCAS of Prades and the Uni Jeunes and Renc’arts associations were at the helm for the second year in a row.

Highlight culture, in all its forms, but also give young people a voice and finally, make the link between the different structures and educational establishments… Here are the reasons for this second edition of “Culture in all its guises” which has kept its promises. “The idea is to work on a theme with a cultural proposal per establishment”explains Matthieu Bonnet, street educator for the CCAS (communal social action center) of Prades. Various workshops were thus imagined. The young people then worked in their corner and a presentation was scheduled for this Thursday, June 18, at the Foirail.

Dance, podcast, music, photography

The Gustave Violet college was particularly well represented, with no less than three classes. Two workshops on surpassing oneself, through Hip-hop for the 6th and 5th Segpa (supervised by the company Influences) and a Podcast workshop “How is it happening at home” with the relay class (supervised by Soulib). Another structure, another workshop. The young leisure area mixed with disc jockey RSK on the theme “living together”. Meanwhile, the students of the Jean Petit school (dear to its director Pascal Marsan) followed in the footsteps of their elders, with two concrete actions. One, around the percussions of the world and another, on the photo. The Conflent photo club came to share its experience on how to photograph sound in a school environment.

“This led to very interesting exchanges between young people of different ages who had a common objective. In total, more than 200 people (young people, supervisors, elected officials) were present on the day of the restitution. We had also prepared a photo exhibition which showed the evolution of the project, step by step.”

Please note, the Charles Renouvier high school and its “hospitality professions” section were present for the occasion. Students came (while on vacation) to lend a hand to the organization and promote their sector.
