French international and former Boston Celtics and Real Madrid player, Vincent Poirier chose Brittany to begin his rehabilitation

Member of the French team since 2017, Francilien Vincent Poirier, under contract with Anadolu Efes, an Istanbul club, spent several days in a Breton structure with a view to his rehabilitation, a few days after an Achilles tendon injury.

On Monday June 1, 2026, Vincent Poirier, already seriously injured in his knee in August, hurt his Achilles tendon. Results, eight months without competition. Less than a fortnight after this injury which occurred during the semi-finals of the Turkish championship against Fernerbahçe, the French midfielder (2.13 m, 32 years old) spent a few days in the rebirthsport structure, in Cesson-Sévigné, in the suburbs of Rennes.

According to the company (which has already hosted the Cofidis women’s cycling team, the runner Benoît Fanouillère and the tennis player Arthur Rinderknech) he trained in hypoxia (in a room with low oxygen content), in addition to carrying out targeted strengthening and neurological work. He was notably accompanied by Julien Chaillet, member of the team from the medical center of the French Football Federation.

A regular French international, Poirier will necessarily be absent from the next international windows (two matches in July then four matches in August). The next international competition for France (if qualifying) is the World Cup. It will take place in Qatar, from August 27 to September 12, 2027.
