Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man attended the signing ceremony of the regulations on the coordination of the organization of foreign policy activities of the leaders of the National Assembly.

The representatives of the three agencies were: Le Hoai Trung, member of the Politburo and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Le Tan Toi, member of the Central Committee and chairman of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee; and Le Quang Manh, member of the Central Committee, general secretary of the National Assembly and head of the National Assembly Office.

According to the new signed regulation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for: advising on policies, developing projects, programs and plans; prepare the content; disseminate information; and organize the implementation of activities in the service of the foreign policy of the President of the National Assembly, the Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly, the former Presidents of the National Assembly and the former Vice-Presidents of the Assembly national in their capacity as representatives of the Party, the state and the National Assembly (incoming and outgoing delegations, reception of international guests, participation in foreign policy events, presidency of conferences and international seminars, and other activities); provide information on Party and state policies, strategic directions in foreign policy and the state of external relations between Vietnam and its partners and advise on policy protocol; foreign and implement it.

The Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs: coordinates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the development of programs, plans and projects, and the organization of the implementation of policy activities foreign affairs of the President of the National Assembly, Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly, former Presidents of the National Assembly and former Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly presides and coordinates with the Ministry of Affairs; foreigners advice relating to bilateral and multilateral parliamentary diplomacy; centralizes the reception, classification, information and reporting of information, files and documents intended for the President of the National Assembly, the Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly, the former Presidents of the National Assembly and former Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly; coordinates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the advice relating to the protocol in matters of foreign affairs and the transmission to the competent bodies, for implementation, of directives of the President of the National Assembly and the Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly concerning matters relating to his functions and attributions; provides basic information on the National Assembly’s relations with its partners. Information relating to the signing and implementation of international agreements on behalf of the National Assembly, its agencies and the Office of the National Assembly is transmitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Office of the National Assembly: serves as a central point to provide internal logistical, financial and protocol support for the foreign policy activities of the President and Vice-President of the National Assembly.
The President of the National Assembly, former Presidents of the National Assembly and former Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Committee on National Defense, Security and Business foreigners to advise and implement diplomatic protocol.
