In resonance with the paintings and sculptures presented at the museum, several events are organized this week in Lodève.
Open to visitors in April (until August 30), the temporary exhibition at the Lodève museum “Aboriginal art, the time of a dream” immediately met its audience. And proof of this enthusiasm, two meetings are scheduled on this theme this week, as well as next Wednesday (see opposite).
A great popular success

The subject requires some effort, car you have to imprint yourselfgner of this notion ofe temps du rêve, mais les Å“uThey are also very attractive with their graphic, almost hypnotic appearance. People have a real pleasure in immersing themselves in another culture, close to nature and the environment. The two demonstrations this week are an opportunity to once again highlight the exhibition.”

David Gulpilil also received the “Un Certain Regard” acting prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014 for this role.
A meeting at the media library on June 24
In addition to the two meetings this week, another day is to be ticked on the diary, that of Wednesday June 24. A recognized expert in Australian art, Stéphane Jacob-Langevin will offer a conference to understand the fascinating world of contemporary Aboriginal art. He will return to one of the foundations of this culture, the notion of dream time, this moment when mythical ancestors would have shaped landscapes, created species and established the laws of society. All the places having been reserved, the organizers have moved the event to the media library, where they will be able to accommodate a few more people. But be careful, it is still strongly recommended to book on the museum website. Please note that the conference will be broadcast live on YouTube.
