Deputies: Homicide investigation underway after body found in burning car

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The Kanawha Sheriff's Office held a press conference Monday afternoon about an ongoing investigation into a deceased individual found inside a burning vehicle on Cabin Creek Road on Sunday.

Chief Deputy Sean Snuffer says the body found is now being investigated as a homicide after an autopsy was performed.

He also says the victim appears to be an adult man.

Deputies are not releasing the cause of death at this time.

KCSO also say they were notified from a caller about objects being seen around the vehicle. They say they are not revealing what those objects were at this time.

Deputies urge anyone to call the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office to leave a tip regarding the investigation at 304-357-0200.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office is holding a news conference regarding an ongoing investigation into a deceased individual found inside a burning vehicle on Cabin Creek Road on Sunday.

Investigation underway after body found in burning vehicle

On Sunday, deputies say a body was found in a burning vehicle in the 300 block of Cabin Creek Road just before 10 a.m.

Investigators also say a vehicle was found on fire.
