After the spectacular floods of February 2026 which caused many journalists to travel to Couthures-sur-Garonne, the village of Lot-et-Garonne will welcome new ones for the International Journalism Festival (IFJ) for 3 days from July 10 to 12, 2026.
Among the 150 guests for this 10th editionwe can cite among others the guest of honor Dmitri Mouratov, Russian journalist winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021but also Coco, press cartoonist, Marc Feuillée, general director of Le Figaro, Lorraine De Foucher, journalist at the newspaper Le Monde, winner of the Albert-Londres Prize in 2024, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, presenter of C à Vous, Charline Vanhoenacker, comedian, Seumboy, Youtuber, Frédéric Beigbeder, writer and literary critic, Sandrine Rousseau, environmentalist deputy, Jérémie Patrier-Leitus, president of the parliamentary commission on public broadcasting…
150 guests and a Nobel Peace Prize
During the presentation of the programmingthe organizers, including Gilles Van Kote, president of the festival, hoped to be able to welcome for this 10th edition Christophe Gleizes, journalist from Agendetained in Algeria since June 29, 2025 and sentenced last December to 7 years in prison.

- Threat to investigative journalism? ;
- Féminisme, égalité, #Metoo, le contrecoup ? ;
- The migration question, memory of a fractured society.
Youth will have their IFJ
Young people will be an integral part of the festival upstream, meetings organized in primary schools, middle schools, high schools and leisure centers in the area.
And youth area will be dedicated to them where they can participate in writing workshops or take a reading break. A round table bringing together 12 young people from 15 Ã 25 ans is also on the program.
The Festival Junior will welcome 6 to 17 year olds for lessons and journalism workshops. Children will also be able to produce content around the festival.
On Saturday July 10, the public will be able to discover a documentary film following a call for projects on the consequences of the rise in the level of the ocean on the neo-Aquitaine coast.
The organizers, who last year hosted 9,600 peoplehope to pass the 10,000 mark for 10 years of the International Journalism Festival with a video surprise already announced.
