On the occasion of the music festival, the Harpe et Musique en Rouergue association will honor a giant of classical music: Jean-Sébastien Bach. It will be June 21 at 5:30 p.m., in the Billorgues barn.

This musical event was entrusted to the Opus Tutti ensemble. Composed of eight musicians with Gilles Liacopoulos on the piano and Jérémie Bernet-Rollande on the flute, the orchestra will perform works from the composer’s maturity: the keyboard concerto in D minor dated 1734, full of strength and rhythm; the orchestral suite No. 2 with its famous banter where the flute is in the spotlight and finally the famous Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, part of a set of six concertos composed between 1718 and 1720 dedicated to the Margrave of Brandenburg, when Bach was Kapellmeister at the court of Köthen.

A masterpiece which gives pride of place to the keyboard, particularly in the cadence of the introductory allegro. It is already possible to consult the program of the Billorgues weeks, which will begin in July, on the website: www.billorgues.fr/evenements
