In his family, Paul de Saint Sernin is not the only celebrity: his little brother is also known in his field!

Paul de Saint Sernin is today one of the essential figures of the show What an era! on France 2 alongside Léa Salamé. And his career is about to take another turn. Indeed, the sniper marks the news of this month of June with the launch of the program In the sauce on Netflix, presented as the streaming platform’s very first original French creation. In parallel with his future projects in the cinema and on stage, the 34-year-old actor shines his sense of repartee. Yet, he is not the only well-known figure in his family to shine in the spotlight.

The comedian indeed shares this artistic fiber with his younger brother, Guillaume de Saint Sernin, aged 27. Coming from the world of theater, the latter is mainly distinguished in the field of acting and comedy, notably through the creation of sketches shared on social networks on the Concon Télévision account. Despite the speed of these digital formats, he applies real rigor and a working method acquired on the boards. The eldest does not hide his esteem for the talent of his younger brother. “I admire Guillaume’s ability to embody characters. He’s always had a knack for that“, he explains to Technikart. A mutual admiration, since Guillaume remains fascinated by the courage and ease of his older brother during his live improvisations. And to continue: “I find it crazy and courageous to throw yourself into the void and succeed in converting the essay, in making the moment funny or pleasant for the audience or for the guests.“

This common passion for comedy draws its source from within a family unit that is nevertheless described as very modest. For the two brothers, the valves quickly became a preferred means of expression to assert themselves during family gatherings. Paul notably remembers a big dinner at his grandparents’ house in Sévérac-le-Château, a town in Aveyron to which he remains deeply attached, having spent his childhood holidays there. “It’s true that we rarely communicate our feelings as a family and humor allows us to do so.“, he specifies. This innate sense of comic timing, the France 2 sniper has perfected through a long experience of stand-up. While Guillaume aspires to continue his rise by navigating between theater and cinema, Paul de Saint Sernin is preparing to experience the end of the year dense with his show at the Théâtre de la Madeleine, before going on stage at the Olympia next April.
