Between restitution of a workshop carried out with students and presentation of “Handle With Care”, the Yann Lheureux company offers this Thursday a late afternoon of choreography in the open air in the heart of the Cévennes district.
Dance takes over public space this Thursday in the Cévennes district of Montpellier. This is not a first. For five years, the Yann Lheureux company has gotten into the habit of offering several highlights as part of the project “In the making / Life journey, city journey”, carried out with the residents of the neighborhood.
A participatory creation before the show
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with “Daubié Danse”, a short restitution of a hip-hop and urban cultures workshop conducted with two CE1 classes from the Julie-Daubié school. The students will present a collective creation nourished by several months of choreographic practice. At 6:45 p.m., place at Handle With Care (“Handle with care”), the company’s new 2026 creation, adapted to public spaces, already presented to Jean-Vilar. Offering beautiful solo moments to the five dancers and drawing inspiration from Krump, she explores the notions of encounter, fragility and power with the order of the different segments chosen by lot.
